European Law Moot Court Competition [ELMC]
The European Law Moot Court Competition is an international competition which is held between teams of students who have an interest in EU Law. It is organized by the ELMC Society and is today considered as the most prestigious moot court within the field of EU Law. The competition is held in English and French.
The problem is published on September 1st. Then, 80 to 100 student teams from European & USA Universities register and send their applicant’s and defendant’s written pleadings by the end of November. The results of the written phase are published on the official website on January 15. Every year, 48 teams, 12 per Regional Final, composed of 3 or 4 students and their coach, are qualified for the oral phase. The Court of Justice of the European Union then hosts the European Final.

Participating can be a great plus on a CV and for the reputation of our University, but most of all it is a once-in-a-lifetime human & professional experience. Students get to present their case in front of top-notch legal professionals, lawyers, professors and judges that have been dealing with EU Law for decades. The competition also helps students improve their written and oral skills.
