Info for Students

Dear Students,

The University is gradually transitioning to electronic administration. Accordingly, the proof of enrolment and the proof of fulfilled study requirements will be issued electronically and may be ordered via online AIPS when you actually require them.

Please do not order certificates pre-emptively or ‘just in case’.

As a rule, a proof of enrolment is not required for:

• arranging health insurance;
• claiming social benefits or other publicly funded entitlements;
• obtaining subsidised meals, transport or accommodation;
• accessing library services provided by the University of Maribor Library, which obtains information on student status directly from official records;
• other procedures conducted by authorities in the Republic of Slovenia that obtain the relevant information from official records.

The relevant authorities are generally required to obtain information on student status directly from the national register of students and graduates (eVŠ). Please order a certificate only where the recipient expressly requires it and is unable to obtain the information from eVŠ.

In exceptional cases where a paper certificate is expressly required for a particular procedure, or where the recipient is unable to accept an electronic certificate, please contact the relevant student affairs office.

When ordering a proof of fulfilled study requirements, please also check any requirements concerning its date of issue. Where a certificate must be issued after a specified date, please do not order it earlier. For example, for the continued receipt of a Zois Scholarship, students who have not yet completed all the required academic obligations for the relevant year of study must obtain a certificate issued after 1 October 2026.
