Renato Vrenčur, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at the Maribor Faculty of Law and head of the Department of Civil, International Private, and Comparative Law. He was a member of the working group, preparing of the Property Act and the preparation of the Land Registry Act and its amendments.
He participated in numerous conferences, seminars, and consultations as a lecturer with scientific contributions in the field of civil and company law – domestic and international. In this regard, he is a permanent lecturer at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Slovenia, where he participates in the education of real-estate brokers, and at the Slovenian Revision Institute, where he participates in educating real-estate assessors. Additionally, he is also an arbitrator with the Permanent Court of Arbitration of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia, a member of the committee for obtaining a permission to work as an administrator in insolvency proceedings, a member of the board for getting a permission to work as an assessor of real-estate with the Slovenian Revision Institute. In 2016, he was named a member of the working group, preparing the base for amending the Property Act. He passed the bar exam in 1996. He deals mainly with property law and land registry law.
