The aim of the conference was to discuss the results of research into unified rules to simplify and expedite cross-border civil enforcement. Emphasis was placed on the European Enforcement Order for Uncontested Claims and on improving understanding of regulation of civil enforcement in different European countries.

- European Enforcement Order for Uncontested Claims – origin and objectives
- Advantages of an execution under Regulation (EC) No 805/2004 creating a European Enforcement Order for uncontested claims over Brussels I Regulation on jurisdiction and the recognition and enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters and the relationship between the two Regulations
- Cases on the public policy exception (ordre public) in a cross-border enforcement procedure
- Enforcement instruments (court decisions, court settlements, authentic instruments) that can be confirmed as European enforcement instruments
- Issues of definiteness and appropriateness of enforcement instruments for civil enforcement (emphasis on calculation of interests in the enforcement procedure)
- Confirmation as a European enforcement instrument – procedure in state of origin and effect in state of enforcement
- Legal protection in the case of irregularities in international civil enforcement – relationship between the legal remedies in the EU member state of origin and EU member state of enforcement
- European enforcement instruments and insolvency of a debtor
II. National Reports and discussion – steps towards better understanding of legal systems in Europe:
- Basic concept of a civil enforcement procedure
- Legal remedies in civil enforcement procedures on the basis of European enforcement instruments
- Implementation of the Regulation creating an European enforcement order in national law systems
- Influence of European regulations (especially Brussel-I-regulation and the Regulation creating a European enforcement order) on different legal systems in Europe
- Enforcement instruments for uncontested claims
- The latest legislative measures for faster, simplified and more effective civil enforcement
