The Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court

The Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court is a competition in the knowledge of Public International Law and is the largest "moot" competition for law students. More than 680 law schools from 100 countries are participating in this competition. The competition is a simulation of a dispute between two countries before the International Court of Justice. Each team prepares oral and written submissions in which they defend the views of the applicant and the defendant in the present case.

 

The team of the Faculty of Law of the University of Maribor also participated in the Jessup competition in 2019, 2020 and 2021. In all performances, our team qualified for the Global rounds finals.
