Vesna Gorjup Zupančič graduated law in 2000 and began her career first as a court trainee and later an attorney trainee in the law firm Gorjup in Maribor. She became the head of the firm in 2013.

She has a certificate of the Association of Controlers Slovenia and is a mediator working under the Institute for mediation and arbitration of the Slovenian Bar Association. Among other activities, she is also a member of Administrative Committee at the Avrio Advocati Association and the vice-president of the Slovenia-Qatar Association since 2013.
