The Maribor Medical Association and the Maribor Law Society, in cooperation with the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Maribor are organising an annual international conference Medicine, Law and Society. In 2025, this will be the 34th edition of the conference, which will be held on the topic »Medicine and Pharmacy in the Service of Health« and will take place on 27th and 28th of March 2025.

As in the past, we are expecting a large audience and the programme proves that a very wide range of competent panellists have responded to actively participate. However the event will be slightly different from the past, organised as several roundtables, where moderators and panellists will provide for a rich discussion between the disciplines and beyond. The orientations are to foster collaboration to strengthen global health, sustainable development and the functioning of the drug delivery system. On the other hand, individual health is also a concern - the future is a personalised approach and improving the efficiency of healthcare by integrating all forces, through innovation, digitalisation and AI.

Students of the faculties of the University of Maribor are also invited to attend the conference. On Wednesday 26th of March 2025, there will also be a Student Roundtable online and live in English on the topic of »Abuse of Synthetic Substances and Addiction.«
