The Student Council of the Faculty of Law, University of Maribor

The Student Council of the Faculty of Law, University of Maribor is a student body of the faculty that deals with issues related to all fields of study that are related to the students. It is the only representative of the student’s opinions and interests and is in charge of all the matters related to students.

Student Association of the Faculty of Law, University of Maribor cares mainly for the extracurricular activities and its development in the faculty. It fosters union between students and links their free time with law.

The association organizes different discussions, parties, language courses and a debate club. With some help from the teaching staff of the faculty, the society also prepares different lectures and excursions that help students gain knowledge providing them with the possibility to do some networking.
 

The European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) is an international, independent, non-political, non-profit making organisation run by and for students and recent graduates, who are interested in achieving academic and personal excellence in addition to their legal or law-related studies at university.

ELSA aims at providing its members a platform to develop their existing skills and acquire new ones, to interact with fellow students and experienced practitioners from different states and legal systems around Europe, and to be equipped for a professional life in an international environment, through mutual understanding, intercultural cooperation and the large variety of activities and projects the Association offers.

AEGEE short for "L´association des etats généraux des etudiants de l´Europe" is one of Europe’s biggest interdisciplinary student organisations, striving for a democratic, diverse and borderless Europe. As a non-governmental, politically independent, and non-profit organisation AEGEE is open to students and young people from all faculties and disciplines. Founded in 1985 in Paris, today AEGEE has grown to a Network of 13000 friends, present in 200 cities in 40 countries all over Europe. Through its activities, they empower students and young people in Europe to take an active role in society. they create a space for dialogue and learning opportunities as well as act as their representative towards decision-makers. AEGEE strengthens mutual understanding among young Europeans and brings Europe closer to young people.
