Association of Company Law Societies in Slovenia

Association of Company Law Societies in Slovenia is an umbrella organization of all the societies for lawyers dealing with company law and other law societies. It was established in 1996 when the singular societies decided to join forces in one great association. Some of the societies for lawyers dealing with company law later became law societies for law in general. However, they remained active in the organization.

Nowadays, the association comprises of six regional law societies (Law Society Maribor, Law Society Ljubljana, Society of Lawyers in Business Celje, Society of Lawyers in Business Pomurje, Society for Company Law Koroška, Law Society of Lawyers from Zasavje) and two specialized law societies (Slovenian Society for EU Law and Society for Sports Law). The association has a special section dealing with corporate law.

The Association of Company Law Societies in Slovenia cooperates with the Association of Law Societies in Slovenia and helps in organizing the annual Days of Slovenian Lawyers, issuing the publication Podjetje in delo and connecting law societies with their members that can meet in the gatherings, hosted by the Association. Additionally, the association maintains contacts with Slovenian citizens abroad and actively participates in debates on current legal questions.

The main offices of the association were moved to the Maribor Faculty of Law in 2016.

The Executive Board is compiled of the president Darja Senčur Peček Ph.D., vice-presidents Franci Gerbec, Marijan Kocbek Ph.D. and Branka Neffat, Secretary Maja Habjanič and the treasurer Boštjan Koritnik.

The Administrative Board consists of the members of the Executive Board and all the presidents of societies and sections of the Association.
